As markets sway, single-family offices remain unfazed and long-sighted, some sniffing out China’s private market opportunities.
Ken is quoted as saying the following in Citywire Asia: "Ken Chew, CEO of IWC Management, sees US-China decoupling ‘interesting’ for China’s PE opportunities.
His firm’s private equity fund targets Chinese tech and manufacturing companies. Alongside is an initiative to bring 50 Chinese founders to Singapore on a quarterly study trip, to turbocharge them into global players.
‘Singapore is riding a tsunami of Chinese enterprises going global,’ Chew said, pointing to Trump’s tariff moves as a booster shot for this shift.
Chew led the firm’s transition from managing a single-family office fund to securing an MAS licence. Rebranded from XIN Fund Management, IWC now manages deep tech and advanced manufacturing funds."
